Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the character of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Actress Supporting Actress. Paquin made her debut when she was a kid, with the part as the Jane Eyre main character in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre as well as a major part in Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the Spanish queen in a smaller part. She portrayed teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
